Are these Roland ink cartridges counterfeit?

I saw this post on Roland's South Africa site.

Now I'm wondering if my cartridges are counterfeit or not. I purchased them from Roland dealers.

More info needed. Possible.

Do they both have a "Born on date" barcode on the bottom edge?

Example:
*4A13C1A025*
20141001

They both look legit to me.

The new 440 in the package looks to be almost a year old though... Had it long of just order it?

Feel free to call me if you have any questions.

We went through this situation a little while ago, and it was just Roland changing the packaging.

We have about 20 empty tanks here, and there is a mix of both label styles.

The key think to look for is the "Roland DG Corporation" under the barcode as shown on the Roland Australia site:

I can't quite see it due to the reflection of your flash, but you should be able to determine this.
