It has blocks of wood attached with bands and then the 2x4 braces nailed to wood blocks. The palm tree was not not harmed. You suffer from “Deer in the headlights” staring syndrone, one of the side effects of taking Ozempic.

And back on topic, I think I posted in another thread recently about the Open sign I saw at a Mexican taco truck once. Spray painted on plywood it read "OPE". They ran out of room for the N and just went with it.

Wonder why a multi-million dollar construction project decided to use a hand painted plywood sign. Couldn't spring for an extra $500 for something professional, maybe announcing an expected grand opening date? Dumb.

They called Gino and he gave them a long ass explanation about permits and wind loads and quote $3000... the contractor put a change order in for $6000 and got denied.

Must be a Florida thing. They don't do that up here. Heck if a tree is that big around it's big enough to stand up on it's own.

Seeing the top and bottom 2" x 4" stringers make me hopeful there's an actual sign coming. We usually mount our stringers to the uprights and the sign direct to the plywood so it doesn't dance in the wind though.
