Need Help Arizona Flatbed Roll Media- Cannot get wallpaper to lay flat= Head scrapes

Im using wallpaper that is similar to treated canvas. (DreamScape- Abaco Beach) we have two places on the roll that are rippled when it moves over the plate on the roll feed. We have re-spooled, re-attached with tension, no tension, used carpet tape to hold it flat, cleaned the capstan, masked off the open plate vacuumn area, used a delay, lowered the lamps, raised the heads....About 14 inches into the print, it head scrapes then its toast. I even tried another roll of the same material...no luck, in fact, the ripples are in the same place.
Does anyone have a hack for rippled material??? Many thanks in advance : 0

Does the material curl during rewinding?

maybe it's from the heat to put the lamp on a lower stage

Set tension to max on the arizona since there's only 3 levels.
If it doesn't work, your stock is no good.
