ASI Show...SCAM?

Why do I feel like I just got a phone call for a Time Share opportunity?
This is the first time I received this call from a "Show Registration Expert" in reference to the ASI show in April in NYC.
2 Free passes...anyone have info on this, am I being sucked into something I need to know about.
My thinking is, I could go for free, get some good info, and have to go through some high pressure sales tactics at the end to get me to join?
Maybe it is worth it, I don't know...any advice?
Thanks!

Pat, have you ever been there?
Worth going? I don't know a lot about ASI.
I have been Googling when I have time.
Thanks.

I been to a lot of ASI shows and they are worth the money but geting free tickets is that much better. You can learn alot from going for just one day.

I have been in the promo Business for 19 years. The first 10 years We were ASI Members. Eventually I realized that the ridiculous membership fees were not necessary. We Joined PPAI for a fraction of What ASI charges and have never looked back. By all means go to the show but but don't drink the red kool-aid and sign up. At the end of the day Norwood/Bic have almost everything you need but a lot of their stuff is higher priced than some of the smaller vendors. PPAI and Sage have been working great for us and way less money than ASI and there ESP services.

It's worth going to, there are a lot of vendors and lot's of samples. A lot of people bring rolling suitcases to gather all the samples. Of course it's all promotional products only.
