I have only ever really used flexi extensively and my photoshop knowledge is not very broad to say the least. I am trying to load a style layer and I can't seem to get it to work. Any tips? I'm using Photoshop 7.0

Wow, Photoshop 7, and I thought I was up to date with version 6. If your layer has a small lock next to it on the right, doubleclick that layer and give it a new name and it should work.

I think he's using 7.0, not CS7

layer styles won't apply to background images, you need to apply it to a layer for any effects to take place
