Avast question

I just downloaded Avast and did a scan of our router. did it twice and each time it shut down the internet connection, light on router turned red and had to re-boot the router to get the connection back. anyone know why this happened

All I know is that you have to watch very carefully where these sites take you and just what you think your downloading.

All sorts of different software come up on download pages..... remember this.... Nothing is FREE!!! lol

I cannot tell you about the router, but I can say I have 6 different computers all running Avast free... no issues with it being a bad thing...

be sure to get it from a known site. There are hijack sites that use the name but give you some junk along with your request.

it looked like that. I may uninstall it and click the link and re-do it when I get to work on tueday
