Awning paint

I have a customer who just bought a building that has an awning on it. The awning is in great shape except for where the lettering of the previous owners was. Is there a type of paint that could be used on it. It is not vinyl but a cloth material. It is on the south side of the building so the sun has faded it except where the letting was. Thanks

awnings can be re-skinned
painting it looks awful and even worst in the long-run. BUT if you're dying for a quickie, screen printing inks (available at any craft store) will cover cloth material just fine.

it's been posted before I would recover with vinyl or sunbrella. by the time you repaint, reletter it just makes it worth it
