B-29 Bomber

My Uncle Dave who I am named after was on the flight Yeager broke the sound barrier on as well as many of the previous attempts. He was the flight engineer. He was also on the B-29 that crashed into Lake Mead on July 21, 1948 with the Suntracker on board. This was the precursor to guided missiles. He's been gone now many years but I have very fond memories growing up around classic Air Force planes and test pilots who later became astronauts. All outstanding American Heroes.
