Treat it like any removal $XX per hour, but just give them an estimate and state in your estimate it could take longer due to unforeseen complications.
Leave the staples? That mindset is why our installers, fabricators, technicians, etc. earn 18-22 bucks an hour when their counterparts (electricians, plumbers, hvac, etc) take home 22-28 bucks around here. Are we professionals, or second rate hacks?

Most of the awning extrusions I've seen have a recessed channel that the staples sit inside of, Once the old material is thoroughly stripped, you couldn't see them without looking for them. Coupled with the rubber gasket, whats the problem with leaving them?
Then again, we can order an awning cheaper than we can build one, and cheaper than we can have one rewrapped.
