what would cause my roland sp 300v to band just on the far end of the vinyl....Its only about 4 inches of banding on the farther side of the print...it clears itself up after that 4 inches???..so 25 looks great, but the other 4 inches is banding? Any ideas?

Do you mean there's banding only on the first few inches of the print? I had a similar problem and the best I could work out was that I had left some slack on the roll at the start of the print, but it was a heavy roll of material so when it caught up, it caused a slight change in the feed calibration. If that makes any sense...

Assuming you are printing bi-directional you are probably printing a little too fast for the ink to dry. The time between 2 layers of ink is the shortest on that side. It could also be the heating of your Printer; do check the media surface temperature over the width with an IR Thermometer.
