Sometime back I ran across a font that was a clone of the ultra-extra-bold Roman typically used on currency. I wasn't much interested at the time but, the laws of perversity being ever active, now I am.
The face is much like Engravers Bold only bolder and the fillets on the serifs are curved and not straight. It had those same R's though, with the scallop on the top of the foot of the R.
There was also, if memory serves, some discussion of a source for the sort of fillagree work that is seen on currency, stock certificates, and such.
For the life of me I can't seem to find either. Has anyone here ever come across such stuff? If so, where?
