If you are referring to the missing horizontal line it has nothing to do with a bar codes effectiveness. Bar code scanners read the ratio between the white and black lines.

Thanks but it does matter as we have tried a a few times bit the summa flatbed trys to read it and then stops while trying to read it

If that's the case then Summa has apparently written some proprietary code requiring that line. Odd but manufacturers put "safeguards" in place.

Was it working before or never worked from the get go?

Thanks - random from the start, sometimes that part is missing mostly not tho.. always same size and area as in the pic but defo tries to read it and fails if that part is missing, suppliers saig Summa are aware of it and working to fix it.. 5 weeks now

You probably already tried but what about a Sharpie to finish the line? Wonder if your situation is unique? There are others on this forum running GoProduce.

I don't think summa technicians will ever fix that defect, simply because it's not a GoProduce defect
Summa has released precise technical specifications that must be respected for the barcode to be recognized by its optical readers and cams. As you can see in the attached picture

If you use some software or plugins to automatically insert that barcode, it's better if you contact its developers and tell them to comply with the Summa specifications: "Barcode should be three times the official (postnet) size and placed on a line"
If you follow this rule you will see that there will be no reading problems

That's odd, what program are you using to print from? Is it missing that section from both the front and back barcode?

I dont think this is a summa issue, whatever software you are using as a rip that is generating the barcode is messing up. If it started recently, try uninstalling the summa cutter drivers and reinstalling them, if that doesn't work, try a fresh install of the rip.

As a temporary fix, you can cut some black vinyl strips and quickly apply them as needed.

Standard Corel to pdf file using the corel draw plugin from summa .. open in oxny rip click summa f series and it added the bar code front and back of file and sometime part of the bar is missi g as above image .. so its only rip that's adding it and supplier told us the summa are aware of the issue ???

Which version of Onyx do you happen to have?

So, is the plug in adding the barcode and you're cutting from the plugin? Or is Onyx adding the barcode and you're cutting from Cut Server? Have you tried to use the other system?

Good Luck

Onyx thrive 21.0.1.248
As you say you are using Onyx to add the barcode and you have the newest version, open up a case with Onyx.
Nothing else can be done unless you want to try to re-install Onyx.

For some reason there seems to be always some weird bugs and fix patches with Onyx for Summa cutters on every version.
