Barcodes w/ Transparent Background

Anyone know how to generate barcodes with transparent backgrounds and not have to buy a $1200 program? Right now I bring them into PS, do a Color Range,blah blah blah then save so I can bring into Ai. It works, but what a PITA!:banghead:

Thank you very much! I was wasting soooo much time. This will let me finish the work I have. We picked up an industrial label account and they need barcodes. Fortunately they are a small portion of the work.
Know if there is a plug-in for Illustrator?
