Basic question about illy

I have Illustrator CS2 and a VersaCamm SP-300V. I know this is something basic and you all should laugh at me.

All I am trying to do is create a sign (12" x 30") that goes on a rear car window (Hello as an example and some numbers on the second line. What is the best way to create that vinyl sign in CS2 and transfer it into VersaCamm software to cut?

Any support you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Design the sign. Convert all text to curves. Give all objects a stroke with the CutContour color swatch. Save as a .pdf file. Open and Cut Only.

I don't know about VersaCamm, but SignLab seems to prefer .dxf files (exported from Illustrator).

This is good instructions assuming that all you need to do is cut out the letters (not print)
