    any way to, say, test different ones until you find one that works?

    I use that exact combo frequently, but as jhill said, try a few tests. Currently, for our setup, 65 seems to be the magic number.

    Depends on the material and if you are going through the laminate also. Testing is the sure way. Even then it will change as the blade dulls, and the strip wears out.

    always test first as MOSH mentioned as a blade wears you'll need to increase force
