Blank Products

This is my first post on here so please forgive me if this isn't the correct spot to post my question.

When I got into this industry many many years ago, we would take or scrap vinyl from the week and set up at flea markets cutting decals on the side for extra money. For a 17 year old kid 400-500 a weekend was really good money.

Now I see the soccer moms (no offense) doing the personalized products such as cups, key chains, bottles, vases and more, making a killing doing this at local markets and festivals.

Can someone point me in the right direction to a site that offers blank products designed for personalization by vinyling???

I have picked up a few products at the big box stores havent really found what Im looking for.

Any help at all would be appreciated.

Thats cute. I never even thought about using google to search for something!!!

Moving on...The problem is, when you search for item like what I am looking for, all you get is the people selling you promotional item that they want to imprint for you themselves. I am looking for blank items almost specifically made for adding vinyl to.

But thanks for the wise crack response anyway.

The thing is you are going to really start with the vinyl itself and then try to find products that use the substrate that the vinyl is for.

Find leather goods for the heat transfer vinyl that is designed for lower temps to adhere to leather etc. Or look for the same blank substrates that work with regular heat transfer.

What kind of products are you looking for? I am looking to do the same thing in my local area. I know, of course, you can buy T-shirts from a t-shirt supply company or probably eBay, but what else is popular? I really haven't gone to the markets/festivals yet this year, but just got started as well. Thanks!

You looking for Dye Sublimation

Keychains, mousepads etc... you need a heatpress to start.
if you want to do do mugs or vases, then you need a different type of press.

Place to start is Imprintables Warehouse ( a merchant member here)
Another source would be RPL supplies in New Jersey

Both have what you need. Ask for Michael in both cases. They are both very helpfull

No, Im not really looking to do die sub. More of just cheap cut vinyl on everyday products. No heat press stuff either. I will check out the people you told me about though. Thanks.

Why not?

Die-cut heat transfer vinyl does pretty well on t-shirts, at least for me it does as far as sells go. That's just one use.

Ditto on using heat transfer vinyl. It's very good.

How are they personalizing "cups, key chains, bottles, vases and more" using only pressure sensitive vinyl? Those all seem like they need die sub+heat or a laser. Can you post a photo of one of those items personalized with vinyl?

dude, just ebay stuff for cheap that you think you can add value to with vinyl graphics...
most places that will sell you "blank products" also post their listings on ebay.

Brian, take a look at our FaceBook page (Shelley's Speciality Gifts). All of that stuff has been personalized with regular cut vinyl. I bought most of that stuff at Hobby Lobby and Dollar Stores. However, when we get stuff that sells good and go back and buy more, they are more often that not, sold out of it. I would like to find a wholesaler that I can buy from time and time again without worry of them selling out.

could just talk to the store manager, and they'd be happy to order it for you when you need more. Empty shelves don't mean that its unobtainable.
