Might try 3M cast vinyl next time. Never had a problem with 3M products of any kind.
I had the same situation with the same vinyl around 2 years ago.
Oracal after looking printed numbers on the backing paper (I had some scraps) discovered it was few years old vinyl sold to me by Signmart. Signmart turn back (is not my supplier anymore). Oracal took full responsibilty for there dealer and send me full roll of fresh product.
