Boat Lift Canopy....need know how

My mother purchased a new boat lift with a canopy. She wants me to put a quote on it. Can anyone tell me if you have to put clothing vinyl or another type of vinyl for this application. I'm pretty much clueless on this one. Any help or direction is appreciated.
