Boat Vinyl Decal

Hey guys,

So a customer wants a boat vinyl decal and we have some Orajet 3951 lying around.

Don't have any experience with boat decals...do we just print it like a normal decal and they apply it as you would a wall decal?

i just finished one last week. Vinyls with air release are tricky because they alow water to enter. Best suggestion I can give you is seal the vinyl with 3M edge sealer and use the 1/4" edge sealing tape.

Thanks for the reply MattReady. Do you know if the RA version of the 3951 works for marine application? It's not really a wrap so much as a decal.

I've used cast vinyls with air release tech (3M 180cv3) for boat graphics and have never had a problem.

Matt - Has that happened to you before?
