Need Help Brother GTX printhead flat cable

Hi to all

Has anyone here tried to solder a flat cable that connects the print head PCB and the print head?

The flat cable connection is swollen, but the printhead is completely correct working before damaging the cable.
At Brother Service they say a new head is needed, which is pointless, of course they make it so that it has to be replaced because the cable has no connector and is directly soldered to the head.

So it's not the same 10usd for a flat cable or 1,500usd for a new print head ...

My question is whether the flat cable on the printhead can be soldered and everything works properly again.

they connect those by screen printing "low temp solder paste" onto the ribbon, and then clamping the cable to the board and heating it up juuuuust enough to set. too much or too little solder and you're in trouble.

not exactly in the wheelhouse of your typical sign guy, but a computer/smartphone repair shop may be able to do this for you.... or better yet, have him solder a ribbon cable connector to the board instead unless the design of the printhead doesn't allow any extra space.

So your answer is that is possible, but it must be done by specialist, I understand

I actually asked if someone it done before action like this on Brother GTX printhead, because it is not only soldering problem, let say it is possible, but how to open printhead without damage etc.

highly doubtful anyone on here has done this, but I'll say a prayer for you and recommend simply buying a new printhead for now to keep your machine going & making money while you continue down the rabbit-hole of printhead restoration in hopes of salvaging it someday.
