Brushed Aluminum

I picked up some 15" brushed aluminum vinyl this last week. I was going to use this, with a printed black border on a logo to put on a work truck. The problem is that it is a lot more brittle than vinyl, and my thermal printing seems to rub off fairly easily!

We are considering die cutting the brushed aluminum vinyl and putting it onto a die-cut black vinyl, but with how non-vinyl like and how brittle/tin-foil like this product is, I'm even wondering if we should use it on a work truck at all.

What is your opinion? For thermal, is there another product out there that would give us a similar effect?

It's rated at two years but anyone who rates a polyester for longer is probably telling a fib. In your climate, I'd guess it will hold up more like three to four years.

Curious what product of brushed aluminum you are using? There seems to be alot of various makes and types? Any additional info would be super helpful!
