building and pricing custom sign post

Pricing a sign is a snap compared to this for some reason. Proberbly because a set of nice post are an after thought of the sign. Do any of you have a formula that works well for pricing these?
I know, what are they made out of, size, complexity...... I have a customer now that does not want to do any maintenance, so proberbly pvc material. Thanks.

No formula, I estimate same as the custom sign, materials and time estimate.
Sometimes a pair of really fancy posts can cost as much as the sign.
There are a lot of premade decorative posts that can be used, look for lamp posts
they can work well.

Many times, the sign will dictate what kind of appeal you'll need for your posts and what to do to them.

Can you post up what the proposed finished sign will look like, its surroundings and what its made of ??
