Can anyone guess what is wrong with this printer.... ( this is a weird one )

Have been working on an SP40i which was not working and giving all sorts of errors. The yellow stuff is foam and should go all the way across the part behind the pipes. It also shouldnt have seeds in it

Checked some other parts so far and found the wires to the wiper position sensor and head position sensor gnawed through. Maybe I should get a job for rentokill

My expert advice is, peanut butter instead of cheese. Works every time.

I took one of the covers off and was trying to work out why there was bits of yellow foam everywhere !

Looking at the pic I think its had a go at chewing the ink lines too,

At the last shop I worked in I had a paper jam in the copier one time, opened the drawer and noticed some M&Ms sitting down beneath the paper tray.
I don't think we ever saw a mouse running around, and no other evidence, so it was a mystery. Very stealthy.
