Our 560 is currently hardlined into a laptop to maintain a reliable connection to the RIP. But then it doesnt get internet access so that when it attempts to send HP an error report on bootup, it takes forever to time out. Is there any way to disable that?

I'm not alone! I have a spotty connection to my print room, but luckily the rip pc is in the room. After a crash, impatiently waiting for the printer to reboot, I thought I'd save myself the few moments it was taking to connect to the internet and unplug the printer's network cable. No such luck. It takes even longer!
Just get one of the 5' cardboard tubes and go outside and wail on something for 5 minutes while it reboots. Works for me.
