can I print up a colour chart from the colour libraries

Is there any painless way to print up a colour chart from Flexi without having to painstakingly drag each colour on manually? I am trying to print up the pantone coated chart and it is huge. What I realized is that I did have a chart for pantones that I downloaded from another site 2 years ago and up till now I have been using it and today I am printing some golf tourney signs and I see this really nice blue so I go in and see that it is a pantone 286 and I then look on my chart at 286 and they are so different. The flexi colours are much more brilliant and a little more accurate. Can't believe I just noticed this now but I want to print up the flexi colours.. anybody know if it can be done with a flick of a switch hehe sort of? DOH!!!:banghead::banghead:

View ---> Create Swatch ----> Current Palette

Just make sure the colours you want are your current palette. THen you can adjust the font size and swatch sizes from design central.

Purchase a Pantone Color Book. They're not exactly cheap, but otherwise you won't know if what you're printing is actually what it's supposed to be.

You have both have a Pantone book and print a swatch table. The former shows you what the colors are supposed to be, the latter shows you what they actually are.

Load the flexi cmyk table, make the first black 100%K and 0% C,M, and Y, get rid of the second black and make the swatch table from that.

When you need a particular Pantone color, grab your book and find something on the printed chart that comes close.

I do have a pantone bridge chart, but thats just used to verify what it is I need printed, In no way would I expect the flexi colours to reflect the actual pantone colours but they do a better job than the chart I have been using.

OK I see this option but when I do it the swatches are not the pantone ones I want. How do I make it default to that library?

better said how do I make it the current pallett?

As long as the palette is open, you should be able to select any open libraries from the pull down menu on design central. (when you select the create swatch option)

· In the design area of Flexi, right-mouse click on any color located on your default swatch table and choose Open Table.
· Browse to any of Pantone libraries located in the Library: Pantone directory and Open the new table. The entire Pantone library will appear separate from your default colors.
· Open a new drawing and launch the create swatch from current pallette feature from the View: Create Swatch: Current Pallette menu option.
· In DesignCentral, change the option to the newly opened Pantone library from the drop down box. Press the green checkbox to apply to the new drawing, and print the entire Pantone chart.
· Since some of these libararies contain 100s of colors, refine your search by clearing all colors in the Advanced tab, and only activating the color range you wish to duplicate with your printer. All colors with the X on the "eye" icon will not be printed.
