Well back to the drawing board again. I have had a file that was created by a profession company for a college. I have the original design file in ai and also in pdf. The issue i have is i am unable to get the correct color even close when printing with a mutoh 1324 and printing with pure hue off as i was told i always needed to leave it off bc it affect colors differently and it will change any files i am sent by customers.

I can supply the original artwork in any file you request. I will also post a couple images of what i am getting.
As i change print resolutions the colors seem to get darker. The picture that is the closest is the image that has a partial image in the middle. This partial image you dont see all of is the original blue. It is a bright vibrant blue and it matches the original print done by the design company.

I outsourced the first set of prints before we got a printer in house and i am having nothing but issues.

As you can see in the image i have issues with the yellow blending also and it always comes out dark.

Again with the pure hue on it is close if the pure hue off the color is way off and way dark.

I am not posting the image in full res b/c i know a lot of people get angry with that but it is linked so you can clock on it to see it. Temps were 45/45/50 using an ora 3165 profile from ora website. New media, new ink. Nozzle checks are perfect as i posted those the other day on another question.

My first option would be to check what color space the file was using - SWOP, Abode 1998, etc...

Can you create your own PMS spot color test file and hit the color?

Um you just need a decent profile and leave the icc profiles on - they give you "correct" colour.
If you can't find one you have to create one.

I am leaving the icc profile on I am not turning it off. What I meant is i also have to turn on the pure hue in the color settings. I am printing with the profile for the printer for the media I am using.

Not to get a good color match. I can get great colors and prints using q4 high speed on the oracal profile printing on avery material but it appears the ink is not all the way dry when the take up system is taking up media b/c it bleed off on the backing. Enough to kinda make it look scuffed and bad.
