Question Can the life of the extended gamut 80600 and RF-640 inks be extended by uv/hvls protectives?

I was wondering if anyone has done any testing/experimentation to see if the poor permanence characteristics of the extended gamut inks of the Epson 80600 and Roland RF-640(8 color) can be improved by using liquid or film laminates with uv/hvls protectives? What results did you get?

Just use cmyk and you'll be good.
In which case if you're printing signs better just get a 60600

It's sad that the permanence isn't better- many useful applications can't be done without better extended gamut ink permanence such as fine art, photographic, and more.
