Can Vertilith work like Versaworks?

We use Versaworks here at work because we have a Roland. Being able to set the cut lines in Illustrator using a Versaworks swatch set is really helpful. A friend uses a Murtogh printer with Vertilith RIP software. I am trying to help them set up a cut file but I am unfamiliar with Flexi which is what they are using to set cut lines. Is there no way to use an Illustrator swatch like in Versaworks to directly tell Vertilith that this is a cut line.

I haven't used Vertilith yet but I would assume so. The way Flexi makes cut lines is exactly how you make it in Illustrator. Flexi has a special button that does it but it's still just making a spot color named CutContour and applying it to the cut line. Pretty much every RIP recognizes that setup and I would very surprised if Vertilith doesn't.

Okay will try that.

Versaworks 5.xx and older used to have problems with CutContour when transperancies were used in EPS files.
