patience vs. boredom will be the deciding factor in how successful this campaign is. personally, i think they are drawing it out WAAAAAAY too long for anyone to really be interested or care when they FINALLY reveal what it is.
i thought it was a broken animated gif when i saw it. next.

As I understand it, the site is currently being built and at certain intervals another letter will be added. When the final letter is added will be when the site goes live and at that time a clickable link will be added to the banner ad.

There are some banner ads running which say i .com in white letters on a black background. The banners at the present time are not linked to anything and are intended to build anticipation around the mystery of what the full name of the website is and what it will be offering.
