Can you sharpen your pencil they ask?

Holy crap, just had another good laugh here. We have a furniture store here in town & they contacted me to give them price for 27"x24" coroplast sign. Ya, just once piece. I told them $35 dollars (which was a mistake, i did hit 3 on keyboard, but had to be 4, so at the end its $45) its my minimum charge to print & mount anything on coroplast, other way it does not make sense to touch this kind of jobs at all.

They get back to me today, mentioning that they can get it done for $19 dollars & ask if i can sharpen my pencil to get the business? Guess what my reply was to them :Big Laugh

I just love these kindsa people. They found it for less than 1/2 and still want you to do it. Do they realize, you'd lose money, by doing it for 1/2 price ??


I'd tell them to go back to where they found it so cheap, cause that's your supplier, too.

I only use pens because like my products I intend on it lasting, good luck with that pencil.


or better yet call them up and say I found this piece of furniture for this price, can you sharpen your pencil

Yes, thats my minimum charge for any kind of printed signage. For me it does not make any financial sense to print a sign for less, because i have projects on the go which make money & simply can't stop them for $19 dollars, i would be stupid to do so.
