I am in need of the ORANGE and want to know if there is an upgrade i can do to the firmware and remove the unneeded extra MAGENTA and replace it with ORANGE. Please tell me they are working on an upgrade....

Can you upgrade your VG540 to the version 2???

AS far as I know, there is no plan to add orange to the original VG series printers. There will probably be a transition to the TR2 inks at some point in the future, but I haven't heard a timeline for that. But you will only have the same color configurations as you have now in your VG.
