Hi All,
I have been having computer issues for 2 weeks now! I have a newer computer running windows 7 64 bit. I had to restore my entire system and now, none of my equipment is working. Flexi is giving me a cannot open port error, and i can even download versaworks. It will not install driver. Has anyone had these issues? Should I down grade to 32 bit?? Weird thing is, it worked before!!! I have had computer guys on here and we are all mind boggled!

Personally I would consider purchasing a new hard drive and start over. Depending on the drive type, may only be a $80-$130 deal.

Try to get a vendor that will honor a return on the hard drive within 10-30 days and if this does not work, format and return it.

Sounds like the restore was corrupted possibly.

usually warranties for hardware have to be validated as bad or they will charge you, I know this is a fact with HP servers.

It all started with a "jit debugging error" then a "shared canvas error". I restored to factory default. I had geek squad try and fix it for 10 hours and they couldn't. I then restored to factory default. Everything seems to be working ok, besides what i really need working! Versaworks will not install the driver.

have you installed any new software or adjusted anything??

what have you done lately with your computer??

I had similar issues about 3 months ago - is your plotter connected via USB or serial cable? Also - what kind of plotter is it? This was SO FRUSTRATING when we just experienced this.
