Hello All..
My friend has been helping me build a sawmill. Welded the whole darn frame last week and has done more for me than just about anybody I can think of. But he has a poster of O-Ring details and engeneer level code on it and I want to recreat it for him and print it large and fine for him.

Anyhow please help me find these fonts. I thought one was definate Eurostyle Bold. and its close but not the Cigar I thought.

Thanks a million Font Gurus.

Federal Mogul is a logo and is available at brandsoftheworld.com The font used is Eurostile Bold Extended (Microgramma Bold Extended).
Most of the other text is Helvetica (Swiss 721) in various weights.
7 STEPS is Eurostile Bold that's been stretched slightly.

Other than the logo, I'm not sure why you need exact font matches for this.

Why Exact? well the only way I can explain it is, hes an engineer and ya know tolerances and wot not.It just seems the proper thing to do after knowing him I guess.

Thanks for the help but the fonts you advised are off but close.

Yeah I don't get why fonts need to match if you're just recreating an info chart. Eurostile or Europa should work fine as mentioned. As well as Helvetica/Swiss or any similar font.

1. Helvetica or a clone of it
2. Univers is the closest match I can come up with
3. Helvetica or a clone of it
4. Eurostile
5. Helvetica or a clone of it
6. Helvetica or a clone of it

If you want better matches, you need to A) post more/better images of the text, and B) you might not be able to get a perfect match since this document does not look like it was made in the digital era. Digital fonts are not exact representations of their metal/dry transfer/phototype predecessors.

I am in my 39th Year of Graphics and in various Industrial settings.

Rule 1
When in Doubt Use Helvetica. Regular, Bold, and Black.
Condensed and compressed only as needed.

Rule 2
When in Doubt of Rule 1. See Rule 1.

Rule 3
When using Serif fonts. and you need to Contrast.
Use Helvetica.

These rules will see you through pretty much any Government requirements
at Federal, State and Municipal levels.

I have made for USFDA, USDOT, and OSHA

If this is a One Off job, use Ariel and Times New Roman.

Cheers
