Print head was passing ink between white and light magenta, wasted a lot of ink to figure this our and test prints were not good.
Finally ordered a replacement DX6 printhead from amazon from wholesalesignshop and they shipped it to me from china in two days. Brand new roland box with head codes.
Purchased a roland VS-540i service manual from a ebay seller in the UK for 2 dollars and followed the instructions for replacement. Changed the dampers at the same time.
This produced a perfect print test and now the printer is working like new.
Suggest if you have the white option to leave the cleaning cartridge in as this is what caused the problem in the first place if you dont use white very often.
