Changing to Zero 9

We have been using Duracoat and are thinking about switching to Zero 9. Can a Zero 9 refill be used in a Duracoat cartridge? Thanks!

No, duracoat foils have their own caddie they fit in. Zeronine refills are put into an existing empty Gerber foil caddie. I've only used a few of the NexGen foils from Zeronine they seem pretty good. At one time they had a pretty bad rap but with time comes advancement, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to you. You can purchase empty cartridges from your supplier if needed for a small cost. Prices seem to be competitive to a genuine Gerber foil. Best o' luck.

I also dont hesitate to recommend them - I dont use anything else. A buck a yard is pretty good IMO

I have been using ZeroNine foils in out Edge 1 for a few years and I am happy with the results.

In my opinion the shuttle cartridges are well worth the $25, and stick with the Nexgen series. The few times that I tried the 100yd foils the used side bound up at about 75-80 yds, right in the middle of a job. I stick with 50 yd lengths now. The white I sometimes had trouble when flood coating, so I switched back to Gerber for that one.

Not all colors match Gerber, so bear that in mind.

I keep 18 ZeroNine ribbons (most used colors)
& 31 Gerber colors (infrequently used)

I always use the FrogSkin clear on graphics on vehicles and sometimes on signs (esp south facing)

i use 09 foils for temp jobs....anything on a vehicle or perm signage gets gerber foil with gerber's SPF abrasion guard....

I was reluctant to use them for a long time,but have found the the shuttles with the re-fillable foils save a little cash,I've only used the CMYK The one color I use often doesn't match the Gerber color.

I got in a zero nine nexgen white and a red refill yesterday. They fit fine in my old Duracoat cartridges and printed very well. Thanks for the input!
