Charging for milage?

Looking for a estimate for how much peeps charge for site visits/milage? We went with .20¢/mile. Thoughts?

Here in Canada i did not see any company charging less than 45 cents

Your shop hourly rate for the driver and $1.00 a mile for wear & tear on your vehicle. The vehicle charge goes up and maybe wa-a-a-a-ay up according to if your taking a crane, bucket or crew cab full of tools. use your head and charge accordingly, unless you just aimlessly drive around all day..... like going to another country to meet an old girlfriend and write it off to the business. It could happen...........

Thanks all! We'll bump that up next time. No boom truck just me and a pickup, and yeah most the time I drive around aimlessly.

 

[BIG EASY DOES IT]

Employers are required to pay employees driving their own cars for work 57.5cents. I would think you would at least charge that for doing house calls. Then for the persons time and the tasks they are doing. Sometimes if it's simple measurements we don't charge for any additional tasks just time and mileage. And not your cost for time and mileage your cost plus because you want to make money right.

Flat rate within city limits. Anything else is hourly shop rate, one hour minimum. Equipment: F350 and a ladder.
