The look on the Chipster look alike face says it all. The Antifa crowd wears masks (even before Covid) because they pre-meditate violence. This guy looks like he discovered a party in progress. Chipster is (rightfully) going to spend 10 years in Federal prison. Those Antifa guys?

Nope... not Antifa. Dude is local to my area and a full-on Trump, Q-Anon man. You should see the video his wife posted online.

You misread or misunderstood my post. Was drawing a comparison on the tactics and consequences of the behavior of both extremes. Antifa/BLM clearly pre-planned violence and got away with it; I think these guys crossed the line when POTUS yelled fire but will be hunted down and punished (as they should).

Not sure what you're implying, but to be clear, the Capitol attack was not a protest that got out of hand. It was a pre-planned attack. Far right extremists have been posting plans openly on public forums for weeks in advance, as has been widely reported:

I think the implication was that these law breakers will be held accountable. This summer, there were riots and barely anyone was held accountable. People are noticing a double standard.

Boudica, he is pretending the distiction is lost on him.
i get that a lot

i think, i characterized it as "180 days of portland held hostage, police stations burned, cops shot & killed. "mostly peaceful protests" because the right to,protest is one of our most sacred rights"

14 minutes of conservatives protesting & it is a constitutional crisis

or something to that effect

for those who have trouble following the narrative, i was NOT defending the people in the capitol. they should be prosecuted, of course.

just wondering why george soros' paid protesters were allowed to run rampant long enough that they should fill out change of address cards

Sorry, i'm starting to get confused now. who is the "he" that's pretending? are you referencing a post I missed? are you correcting me, or agreeing with my explanation of what reveal said?

george soros' paid protesters

To clarify: George Soros doesn't pay protesters – that's a sensationalized and misleading way of phrasing it. George Soros funds non-profits that stand for causes he believes in, like many wealthy people do. Those non-profits organize protests, like many non-profits do. It's not some sinister conspiracy – it's how philanthropy and activism work.

Thanks for the speculation from the MSM, but only time will tell if those posting the social media rhetoric quoted had anything to do with the actual riots. I can go on social media right now and find hundreds of inflammatory and violence promoting progressives, but that doesn't mean they are actually acting out their rhetoric. How about the media bringing the temperature down and doing some actual investigative reporting instead and then we can reach a fact based conclusion.

But quite interesting the contrast between the BLM/protests and the almost total lack of coverage regarding the deaths caused by those riots. See June article https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2020/jun/4/riot-deaths-ignored-by-major-networks-watchdog-fin/. The appalling lack of reaction of the MSM to the 30 deaths (thru August) directly at the hands of the antifa/BLM rioters is in stark contrast to the Capitol riot reporting where one officer later died of trauma at the hands of a rioter and one protestor died at the hands of the police. Inexcusable but where was the outrage when thousands of officers were were injured and over 30 people lost their lives from direct violence in the summer riots? Imagine if an unarmed BLM protestor had been shot by police during those famously 'mostly peaceful' riots...

Thanks Bo- probably wasn't as clear as I could have been.
I mean, the double standard here is strong and goes both ways honestly.
BLM protests get tear gassed for 'nothing', then get arrested, but not typically charged for a crime.
Trump protest gets through police barricade, no tear gas or rubber bullets, into a federal building to vandalize, then allowed to leave in peace, yet now prosecutors are looking for them.

Did you even watch any footage from the BLM protests and the Capitol attack? When the BLM protests began, there were thousands of videos showing plainly that it was the police who initiated the violence on peaceful protesters, and continued to stoke violence across the country with their aggressively militant response. Eventually there was plenty of violence from both sides, but it was clear which side instigated it and which side was defending themselves. In the Capitol attack, the rioters were the aggressors. Police squeezed a few squirts of pepper spray and then retreated. Open your eyes and watch the damn videos.

You are only seeing what your bias allows you to see. What I saw watching many hours of numerous summer riots was an out of control mob performing many acts of murder and mayhem. I saw one of numerous Trump demonstrations devolve into an equally deplorable state. But the stark difference in reporting is impossible to miss.

It's all stupid. Not sure how one justifies the other. The responses can't be compared, it's different situations, different time lines, different venues. Not sure the relevance of the who what where either. None of this should be acceptable and destruction of property isn't protesting no matter who is doing it and what the reason is.
