Chipply - I just bought it for apparel stores and love it

I know most of you don't do apparel but for those of you that do, especially school stores, I wanted to share this resource with you. They are located in my home state of Wisconsin and you pay an upfront fee of $1000.00, NO SUBSCRIPTION!

50% of my business is apparel and copy/pasting apparel mock-ups and colors was driving me insane, major time sucker so I've been looking for something to make life easier.

-They have EXCELLENT service
-I can put a store together in under 5 minutes
-I created lots of catalogs of the most popular items so I can send a quick link and they can see all the colors, base pricing, etc.
-I create a store for all my customers so I can upsell things like hats, Carhartts, etc.
-Major time saver for me as far as design goes. Upload the logo, select all the products and done
-One-time fee so it's NOT a subscription
-Apparel catalogs are massive and overwhelming - this cuts down on the variety for "basic" orders

If one more person asks me what the most popular V-Necks are and if they come in women's size and what colors...I was about to scream. Now I can just send a link and save myself a stroke

So, just wanted to share my experience and promote a Wisconsin business :)

I do the uploading on the back end. The stores that have logos on them are working stores "Mike's Kiel Lounge" etc... The "hoodies" "tshirts" etc stores I send to prospective customers to use to choose their products. Once they decide on certain products and we have a "work order" I upload their logo and the products on their own store and send it to them. I used to download the front and back of each item and in multiple colors into Corel, add the logo on each one and create a flyer, print it out and send an excel order form - way too much labor.

For the already created stores you see (Mike's, Chatterbox, etc.) Chipply creates a flyer for me with a QR code so the employees or customers just use the QR code, vs. a paper order form.

Today, a guy came in looking for tshirts and hoodies - no idea what colors, brands etc. I showed him a few options in person and he decided on them. He sent me his logo. It took me 5 minutes to create a quick store that he can share with his employees so they can order directly. Chipply pulls only the "in-stock" colors/sizes from Sanmar. Example: Chatterbox has lots of larger people 4X 5X and Gildan doesn't have all those colors in stock, it was a major issue in the past. Now - only whats in stock shows up so no more backorders. Tall items are an issue, so are womens colors, not the variety like men have. Just sooooooooo much easier.

Interesting, looks really good! If only someone had something simple like this for signs.....

On top of the $1,000 set up, you're also paying them 6.4% per transaction? https://chipply.com/pricing

I guess that's where they make their money back. (Not a stab, just trying to wrap my head around their business model as upfront cost is pretty low compared to alternatives)

Yes. You need to account for that when building the pricing. My old service was WIX so paying 3.5% extra now.

Here's the breakdown. Mikes and Chatterbox place the most orders.

75% of orders are tshirts.

Transfer $.80 - I squeeze it on the sheets making it essentially "free" but .80 if I would order separately
Tshirt $3.20 (if not on sale - they usually are $2.79)
total cost $4
Sell price $15
I do them in batches of 24+ = $360 ($336.96) after fees
Materials = $96
Labor = $54 (ordering, unpack, press)
$186.96 remaining

A lot of times these orders cost me only $2.79 each.

Mikes transfers, fronts are always added to other white ink orders, making them essentially "free". The backs I order in groups of 100 $.80 each. it's a bit more labor with 2 presses but presses are only 7 seconds so not a lot of extra time.

All the online orders are done every 2 two weeks on the same day in a group. Same temperature, etc.

Hoodies are typically $10, I charge $25-28.

These are just a tiny percentage of my apparel business. Would welcome your feedback.
