Christmas Traditions? Whats yours.

Kinda curious how many have a traditional meal for Christmas or Christmas Eve.
Growing up we had Wigilia (Va Lee Ya) on Christmas Eve Starting with Oplatki, Mushroom soup, Fish, (Cod or Orange Roughy), ham Pierogies, and Poppy seed rolls.

Last year my wife and I changed it a little to fit us better. Merge my traditions with hers. We still have the mushroom soup, have fish tacos, pierogies, ham and Mexican wedding cookies.

Tomorrow, we are going over to my mother-in-laws house for breakfast. My wifes grandmother is in town and has been baking for the past 3 days and all I know is that I may never be able to eat again.

Havent had a Christmas meal with my wife's grandma in a few years, but before she made (everything from scratch) Chorizo and eggs burritos, tamales, menudo, some kind of potato fry thing that is amazing, and empanadas. There is some other things but I cant remember. I have not been allowed in my MIL house since Tuesday.

Tuesday, her house smelled so good from all the stuff she was making. I stopped eating at 1 today and I dont plan on eating until I get there.

I cant wait

We usually have Roast Beef Christmas Eve. This year we decided to make it
easier with just a big frozen ready made Lasagna and garden salad. I'll make my
famous garlic bread.

Traditions: I make the Christmas Fudge and My daughter and I bake ginger
bread men. Wife bakes many pies, pumpkin and pecan. Here in Texas thats
"Pa-con" not the northern "Pee-caan".

We always do Christmas Day Dinner at my sister-in-laws. Gonna be a good one!

I like to go to the bar and have some warm holiday cheer and and continue to do so till the most unwanted girl tools like Ms.America,take her home for a bit return to the bar for a few more before last call.Then i leave drunk as a skunk and rob a 7-11.I then go to the strip joint to get a little holiday spirit.On the way home i do a few B&E's to make up for missing x-mass eve shopping,I then go home hoping i don't get into a hit and run (usually with a tree that jumped in my way).I get home and have a few shots and cookies with santa or maybe it was with the guy doing my wife,at this point it dosent matter.i then pass out after my long productive day and wake up like everyone else with a bag of presents and no clue what happened the night before.

OK enough with the humor.Actually my tradition on x-mass eve had been going on for me for almost 40 years.it started with @15-30 or more having the Feast of the Seven Fishes which is one of my favorite days of the year.unfortunately it has been drastically reduced to some times just me and my aunt,i am gratefully though that i am single and don't have to change my holiday schedule.This year my dad,sister are in town.Very many Christmas eves i stayed at my moms house we like to spend it together and have home cooked breakfast in the morning as we did when i was a child.She likes it and i gotta admit i do to_On x-mass morning we open gifts and i travel to many Friend and families homes and bring presents and joy.It is a hard thing traveling @ id like to stay one place but thats what you have to give up to see the ones you love.I wish all of signs 101 and their families a happy and safe holiday.A SPECIAL THANKS TO ALL THE TROOPS PAST AND PRESENT, AND THEIR FAMILIES FOR MAKING SO MANY SACRIFICES,THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH

Big ass Prime Rib with a sour cream-herb-butter-horse radish-raspberry sauce, baked potatoes w/an assortment of toppings, steamed asparagus and mushrooms in garlic & butter, green salad w/beef steak tomatoes, olives, chopped hot pickled asparagus, artichoke hearts and Feta cheese with an Italian/blue cheese dressing and for dessert.....Tiramisu cake

and there better be plenty of them... the masses don't take kindly to the rationing of grapes leaves.

Christmas Eve...dinner with close friends...Lobster Tails, oysters steamed on the grill and raw and I make a big pot of Cream of Crab soup that is ass-kicken'.

Christmas day...Brunch with my son & his inlaws...very boring...his wife can't boil water. But for dinner at my house we have steaks on the grill, lots of wine and all that good stuff that everyone gave us like fudge, cookies and everything sugar related. My blood-sugar will probably hit 250.

Are you and/or your husband lebanese? If so I'm jealous. A couple of great friends of mine live in lebanon. Their women are so beautiful and their food is delicious. I never knew about stuffed grape leaves until I saw them on tv recently. Next time my friends come back to the US I'm requesting some, however
