I want that thar chome letters. Does he want an "aMerican Eagle" on the design too.
Fancy up my truck so the others in the trailer-park we be jealous! Chrome lettering is the hardest thing to read, most people new to the industry use loads of it. As they gain knowledge they use less and less of it. I tell people if they want chrome letters, go somewhere else.

im fairly new..just a couple years. got a call at 4pm today..cust wants to letter a truck in all chrome, no second color, JUST chrome on glass. I basicially said no. It would look TERRIBLE and wouldnt last either. Convinced him to bring it to me so i can explain/show him more options.

I have used the chrome but always with an outline of a dark contrasting color. Looked pretty good and was not hard to read.
I used the regular Avery chrome but I warned the customers not to expect more than 6 months. Last month when I was back in the states, I saw a truck window I had done 2 years ago and it still looked decent from a distance. I did not get a close look though.

Also that was the only Avery product I ever bought due my experience with their other crap.

gerber's deluxe chrome...i did lettering on a hummer about three years ago and it looks like i just did it yesterday....i've also been using the deluxe chrome for a towing company for many years....their logo with a black print (and UV abrasion guard)....years later and still looks great.....it's expensive, but worth it when you don't have to tell a customer it'll only last six months..

It still looks like some "softball player" type of sign. You know, the 30 something guy, with a goatee, some coach screwed him or he would be in the major league playing, telling you how his new lawn service is going to RULE the world. Just got a new $50K truck, but you have no idea how he can afford it cause he has has 5 different jobs in 3 months cause "they tryed to screw him a the last job, so he showed them and quit". That is a chrome customer!
