You get to the service mode by pressing the Arrow Keys in the following sequence while printer is on but sub power being off: Up-Left-Down-Right (in an S. config) next. Left-Down-Right after that hold down the left, down, right keys while turning on the sub power. I usually have to do it a few times, it is a bit tricky. Good luck...

Cj-500 sc-500 service mode firmware 4.4 protected

1st: Press up arrow, then left arrow, then right right, then down arrow

2nd: Press left arrow and hold it, press down arrow and hold it, press right arrow and hold it,

3rd: Press sub power (on button)

must all be in that sequence.
