cj-540 over the cj-500

I really like to know of what is the major difference between the cj-540 and the 500 printer cutter. I have a cj-500 but also I do have a chance of getting a cj-540 at a good price, it does need some minor work print heads and so on.. after fixing it up I may sell my 500..I assume the 540 maybe a bit faster?

The main difference is the 540 uses the DX4 heads so it is going to be faster and a more reliable set up.

Good idea to get 540 and sell 500.
CJ 500 parts is harder to find now, it is too old printer.
