CJV150-160 Manually Release Carriage

I have a some kind of wiper error on the screen and so I can't tell it to move the carriage. I know it can be released manually but I can't figure out how.

Only way I can turn it off is by flipping the switch in the back and even then the carriage is still locked. When I turn it back on it takes me back to that error screen.

The lock is to the right of the head carriage. It's a plastic hook that you push down to release the head.
