Does anyone know how to clean the encoder strip sensor on my XC 540? I've got the spray can effect going, and the strip itself is clean.

I use one of the lint-free cloths that come with my rifle scopes. Didn't put anything on it. A microfiber cloth might work nice too. You DO NOT want to scratch it...

I use alcohol swabs on my T-jet encoder strip. swipe it gently towards the spring end.

I use swabs and solution siphoned from a cleaning cartridge for the machine,

That is the cheapest and best way I have found . . . !
