Cleaning Substrates...What do you use?

I use concentrated degreaser....mix 1 part degreaser to 10 parts water. Works well for just about everything. You can locate it at any Janitors Market or cleaning supply store.

Absolutely correct.

alcohol alone is not the all purpose magic cleaner. It will only dissolve that which dissolves in alcohol. Some dirt needs soap and water to remove.

For trucks, boards, windows, banner materials and just about anything else for printing or vinyl application gets a solution of Simple Green applied and dried followed with a complete rubdown in isopropyl alcohol 91%.

When we're flatbed printing, almost all substrates come in pre-masked, so we only use the isopropyl alcohol 91%, then direct to printing.

Vinyl for printing gets only isopropyl alcohol 91%, also.

70% IPA. Maybe a light soap and water mix first if has been outdoors.
