Clear Rocker Panel Wrap on a Pickup Truck - Best way to install?

Hello!

So, I have a customer that wants to do a clear rocker panel "wrap" on his pickup truck. We thermal printed some logos on high performance clear. He wants to install it himself, he's in another state. I can't make up my mind if I should mask this clear wrap to help him install though. If I mask this wrap, he won't be able to see where it stops and starts since it's clear vinyl.

The way I see it, there are 2 ways of doing this:

A) Mask it, install it wet or dry
The problem is you won't be able to see the top and bottom of the wrap until the masking is removed.

B) Don't mask it, install it wet so that he can get it aligned correctly
The problem is that he will have to have a couple people helping him most likely... which he might need anyways.

Any thoughts?

i think with clear vinyl you don't want to install wet, i think it may leave imperfections in the vinyl (water marks or streaks)
and if you cut the mask right at the edge of the decal it should be fine (print the vinyl with a box around the trim edge then mask then cut )

Gotcha. Thanks! I went ahead and masked it. You can actually see the lines from where the vinyl starts and stops, so hopefully that will work for him :) I'll recommend a dry install then.
