Clicking sound on vp540

When printing and the carriage reaches the end of the machine it makes a loud clicking sound almost like when the carriage hits the media clamps.

I checked and the carriage / heads doesn't touch anything? Any ideas what could be causing the sound?

Maybe take a video of it, so we can see exactly what might be causing it. Have you watched it do it and by chance is going too far over, maybe hitting into the end of the rail?
