Is there a bit that will allow me to do a contour cut on 1/2"thick GatorBoard on our CNC Router that will leave a clean edge? Any info is appreciated. We have a ShopBot CNC router.

Thanks,
Nick

A spiral upcut downcut bit (compression bit) will give excellent results. the upcut clears the base, the down cut cleans the top edge. match the cut length to your material with a bit over (5/8" for 1/2" gator)

I don't know about bits, but the guy who does ours said, until he found the right speed, we'd notice chatter here and there. Now we never see any of that. Ocassionally, we'll see a bugger where the bit dropped in. Out of 300 some letters, if we hafta clean up 2 or 3, it's no big thing.
