CGRAVES
We first have bought a Colorspan 98 UVX (03.2007). We were satisfied with it. When Colorspan had began selling a new printer with higher resolution (5400 series), we have immediately bought it (12.2007).
When they put it in operation, 2 printheads were already wrong. It has printed more and more striped, the speed slowed up to able to print the same quality. (03.2008). The sw. was updated by the support team. The problems were not solved, of course. The automatic head cleaner forgot its settings and didn't clean for a week. Meantime the I/O board went wrong, which I had to wait for weeks (09.2008). Under the printer the ink stayed as a pool of water and the cleaning system was continuously wrong. At the time the support team found already 7 heads bad. (10.2008)
We will have a talk with the management of HP (01.2009) about the redemption of the printer, because the printer hasn't got the parameters they sold with. We don't want the HP to change the printer, because the problems would return. In my opinion, it has got buildup problems.
There is an article about this machine from an expert, who has tested over 101 UV printers:

Please be so nice sending your story, too. HP said, they have bought more than 600 printers like this and all of them work without mistakes. Maybe the buildup problems will be more obvious.
Thanks for your help!
