Hi all,
Weird issue that crops up occasionally that only makes a difference if I'm putting together composites: for example, I'll draw a square and draw a circle in the middle of it. Apply a color, say red, to the square and leave the circle as either empty (no color) or a random color. I'll combine the two, which should eliminate the circle color and make it "transparent" to the background, but that doesn't happen - the circle will merge with the square and take on the square's color. I'll try to trim the circle from the square to obtain the same effect, but the same thing happens - the two objects will merge and be all one color. I've tried exiting and resetting the file by coming back in - sometimes that works, but more often it doesn't. I'm using X5, but I've had it happen in earlier versions.
Weird, frustrating... any ideas?
Rick
